A Bit About Me

I champion the power of joy, pleasure, and collective care to foster true liberation and wellness.

  • Falilah “Aisha” Bilal (FAB) is a visionary leader, healer, and strategist with over 30 years of experience transforming individuals, organizations, and cultural narratives. As a liberated Black woman, she champions the power of joy, pleasure, and collective care in fostering true liberation and wellness—personally, institutionally, and societally.

FAB’s work is rooted in healing practices, youth and family empowerment, personal transformation, and organizational wellness. She specializes in youth development, drama therapy, healing-informed organizational strategy, and strategic fundraising consultation.

Raised by pioneers of the 1960s Black Power movement, FAB developed an early commitment to justice and holistic well-being. At just 14, she served as a youth leader in healing retreats with the Black Woman’s Health Project, where she gained expertise in healing techniques, group facilitation, and intergenerational transformation. She has since become a national leader in responses to gender-based violence and collective healing, including presenting at the United Nations Beijing Plus Five World Conference on Women’s Issues. Her work continues to shape radical transformation across agencies and communities.

Believing that healing the world begins with dismantling patriarchy, capitalism, historical trauma, sexism, and racism, FAB helps individuals reclaim their stories, heal their bodies, and free their minds.

Falilah founded WaterFLowLife in 2020, a black woman-owned company that focuses on exploring sacred sexual pleasure, supporting individuals to experience sexual fulfillment as a pathway to our collective liberation.

She holds an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and a B.A. in Theater Arts and Child Psychology from San Francisco State University.

A proud mother of two, FAB resides near the majestic Mt. Shasta, embodying the leadership, passion, and vision she brings to every space. And yes—her favorite color is green.

Why I do this work

I was born into a legacy of radical love, resilience, and liberation. Raised by parents who pioneered the Black Power Movement, I learned early that healing is both a personal and collective journey. At just 14, I stepped into my purpose, guiding intergenerational healing spaces and learning firsthand the power of reclaiming our stories, healing our bodies, and freeing our minds.

For over 30 years, I have worked joyously to transform, empower, and build systems that truly nurture our humanity, whether through youth development, drama therapy, organizational wellness, or healing-centered leadership. I believe in the power of pleasure, in the necessity of collective care, and in the undeniable truth that we cannot liberate our communities without first liberating ourselves.

My work is about radical transformation, breaking free from the limits of patriarchy, capitalism, and historical trauma so that we can create the lives and futures that we desire and deserve. I do this work because I know healing is possible. I do this work because I have seen what happens when people step into their power. And I do this work because love is the most revolutionary force we have.

Let’s build, let’s heal, and let’s transform together.

My Values

  • We Are Divine. Each of us is a sacred being, connected to something greater.

  • The Human Experience is Complex. Life is painful, joyful, and everything in between. Embracing it all is part of our journey.

  • We Deserve Fulfillment. Our needs and desires matter. We are worthy of abundance, love, and care.

  • Power Lies Within. While shaped by external forces, we each hold a unique inner strength. Tap into you!

  • Healing is Possible. Trauma impacts us, but we have the power to grow, heal, and reclaim our stories.

  • Pleasure and Joy Are Essential. Happiness, freedom, and pleasure are not luxuries. They are necessities.

  • Life is Meant to Be Lived Fully. Every moment is an opportunity to expand, create, and thrive.
